Pinwheel Mania

Pause Dream Enjoy Linky Party

#178 Anything but a Card

Optional Theme: Planner Pages

My Design Team Project

This was a really fun, and easy project to make!
I used my We R Memory Keepers Pinwheel punch board and the YouTube tutorial HERE
I have straws especially for my pinwheels, but instead I used some of Bonnie's neon straws. It was more fun for her to help me using her own straws.
Pinwheels measure
8", 7", 6", 5", 4", and 3"
Gold brads were used to adhere them to the straws
Crop-a-dile to punch holes in the straws for the brads
Colorbok Signature double-sided papers, Garden Variety (love)

Here's a close-up of the pinwheels...

Give-Away Time!

Hi, everyone! It's time for a Give-Away!

Recently I signed up with Stampin' Up. I've created a brand new blog called Happy Day Stamping just for all my Stampin' Up projects and Give-Aways.  I thought it would be fun to do a little give-away introducing you to my new Happy Day Stamping Blog.

There are over 2,000 followers here at Pause Dream Enjoy which has been growing since 2009 when I opened this blog.  It takes time for the word to get out and people to find you. I'm experiencing that newness all over again with my new blog, Happy Day Stamping, trying to get the word out and increase my followers over there. (As I write this, there are only 20 Followers over there.)

So..... here is the Give-Away! (USA addresses only)

Message in a Bottle stamp set Item 143707
How to be in the drawing to win:

  • Hop over to my Happy Day Stamping blog & Become a Follower (little blue button - I will be verifying)
  • Leave a comment on my "A Little Something Sweet" blog post
That's it! Be sure to notice in the "A Little Something Sweet" post how you can also win the June Paper Pumpkin kit from me!!

Good luck!  Winner for the Message in a Bottle stamp set will be drawn on

Monday, July 3rd and posted over in the Happy Day Stamping blog.

The Winner will have until Friday, July 7th to claim their prize.

Bitten by the Bug 2 Challenge (Birds)

Hi, Crafters!
It's time for a new challenge over at Bitten By the Bug 2!
Remember to always include a
Cricut cartridge cut or Cricut digital library cut
on your project plus the current theme.

This Week's Challenge Theme

June 19 - Birds

My Design Team Project

12x12 Scrapbook Layout.  You will need to own the Cricut cartridge I used or have a subscription to Cricut Access to be allowed to cut these images.

Cricut cartridge - Hoot 'n Holler
Cardz TV Stamps

Here's a tip about my 12x12 scrapbook layouts. It kills me to use a full 12x12 color cardstock for the background. So what I do is use a piece of 12x12 cardstock I've used to cut out Cricut die cuts. I then cut my white cardstock or pattern paper at 11 3/4" x 11 3/4" (sometimes 11 1/2" x 11 1/2"). Here's a look at this same layout on the other side.

Here is the front before I adhere any die cuts and photo mats.
See? You can't even tell it's had dies cut out!
And no one will see this when I slide in another layout into the page protector.
You'll see the owls on one page, and when you turn this,
you'll see another completed layout. I put my layouts back to back in one sleeve to accomplish this.

Ha! I love this little cheat. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Don't forget to link up your Cricut project over at Bitten By the Bug 2!
